Hey everyone-

In my sleep deprived, spastic quiver stage, I came up with a simple outpatient surgical procedure where we can literally unzip the medial abdomen and remove the liver...from here, we can clothes-pin it to a horizontal backyard line using "ghetto" clips and let it DRY out! All kidding aside, I had a fantastic 2 days with old memories clashing with new ones. My only wish was that there was more time to reacquaint. That said, hats off to all that took the proverbial plunge back to the past...and will continue to push memories moving forward. I miss ya'll..........

Many, many thanks to Brian (and his wife), Val, Shawn and Robin for putting this event together. The anticipation was killing me just before we walked in the door and it turned to such JOY seeing all the familiar faces. It was so great to see so many old friends and know that they are doing well and have such great lives! I admit, there were a few I would never have recognized and I thank them for reminding me about the old days bagging at Eagle Thrifty, partying at the X and hanging out at The Baron's Pizza Parlor. The whole night was such a blast ! I loved seeing all of you. Can't wait to do it again in 5 years when we're 60!

What a great weekend - and to think I almost didn't come! It was incredible to see you all and spend some time together.  Special thanks to Lynne  Whitezell for not only insisting I come up - but for making me relive our high school years complete with alcohol-induced haze (although at least we've moved on to Kettle One and Grey Goose instead of the $1 beers (yikes!).  I was so glad to see that Scott, Kris and Huey haven't changed one bit (ok - maybe a little).  Who knew Scott could karaoke like that.

Brian - thank you again for all your efforts on this endeavor.  I know you put in tons of time and money.  I know we collected some money in an impromptu "pass the hat" at Rookies before everyone showed up....but I hope those of you who haven't already donated - can find the time to do so.   (How's that for a "hint"?  I never was known for my subtlety!)

Again - it was wonderful to see you all!

Brian, Val , Principal Clark and all those involved,
What a wonderful event. The dinner was one of the most memorable evenings of my life. I want to thank all those former students and teachers who took the time and effort to speak with me and update me on their lives. I regret not having the time to speak at length with many of you. What a night!  Thanks Brian for providing this great forum for all of us to reconnect.

More fun than a barrel full of monkeys!  I got a two for one!  I got to spend Friday and Saturday with a bunch of high school friends and Sunday with Mom for the first time in more than 20 years.  It was great to see everyone, thank you Brian for putting together the greatest reunion since the Cartwright boys got back together...  I know there was a lot more that you wanted to get done but the crush of people was unexpected.  I'd like to help in some way to keep this website living on in infamy.  Let me know how I can help.  I would love to keep in touch with my IHS classmates, you can reach me at spryce@pryce.net

Chris Talbot of Talbot Images will have all the photo's on his website and I'm sure with Double B's technological prowess he'll have a link soon.  I'm not sure if Chris has all the pictures uploaded yet but it should be any day. The website is www.talbotimages.com/ihs40 .... I loved what I had seen of Chris's work so much I hired him to take photo's of my wife and I for a mothers day surprise and they turned out amazing.  I'd recommend him to anyone looking for a talented photographer with the beauty of Tahoe in the background.

Great to see everyone this weekend. I'll be refraining from the phrase "another Jack & Coke" for awhile but what a great time. Kudos to the hard core group on Saturday night who went from Rookies (karaoke was a blast), to the Hyatt (thanks for the drinks Sammy) to the Paddle Wheel for the final cocktail. Let's not let it be such a long time before we do another get together. Brian, again, great job; we owe you. Hey I was wondering if the website might be altered at all soon with a "reunion pics" area or something. I know a bunch of us are just dying to get our own personal pics up.

What a trip! I'm living back in Incline -- taking care of dad and LOVING being back here.

Will see whoever will be there at the beach tomorrow! (Talking to YOU Kimberly!)

Went to a "tour" of the high school today with Scott Norris, Rahn Merrill and Chad Fulkerton. Too funny! Saw a lot of people from class of '71 and a few from '75 -- didn't know most of the others -- those later year young 'uns! LOL!

Please get in touch if you know/knew me!

Love you ALL!

Hey Highlanders!  Wish we could make this reunion, but found out about it too late (thanks, Kim!).  I hope it's a great time.  I'm in Tucson, Arizona with my husband, two sons, and psychotic Border Collie.  Up to my neck in karate, baseball, lacrosse, and all that goes with boys entering puberty.  Interesting to be on this side of the eye-rolls and "you are too stupid to live" expressions.  Actually, they're great and don't give us too much grief.  But the girls are starting to call.........

I'm forwarding this to my sister, Suzy, but she's busy flying her Cessna Sovereign around the country.  Don't know if she'll be able to make the party.

Have a great reunion.

Sorry I am not going to make this event, I wish I would have gotten the info early so it could have been planned. We have just gotten back from a trip to St Louis and than onto Tampa for my brother Greg's oldest sons wedding. And still the remodel of the down stairs is not completed yet only the entry way to finish that is to be done this very weekend. So lift your glasses in a toast to all of us wanting but not there.

Hello everyone, it's been great seeing familiar names and stories from everyone on this site. Unfortunately I am unable to make the reunion as I am working in Hawaii at the moment and won't return home until the day of the reunion, but I believe two of my brothers will be attending, Wade and Mick (James). I would like to say hello to anyone that does remember me other than being "Wade's little sister", hated that. I would love to hear what the rest of the class of 76' and 77' are up to and will of course drill my younger brother the next time I see him.

As for me, I live in the Bay Area; I manage an Event Marketing Team and of course have traveled most of my career. I was lucky enough to fall into something that I loved to do. I lost my husband to cancer about 2 1/2 years ago, that in itself was life altering. I have two wonderful daughters that are 25 and 30 yrs old and I am extremely proud of the beautiful, talented and endearing women they have become. My oldest has blessed me with two granddaughters that literally take my breath away and a grandson due in September. I love being Grandma, still young enough to get down and be crazy with them. Life has given me quite the ride and more challenges than I expected, but I wouldn't change it.

It's wonderful to see so many people that I experienced some pretty incredible times with all grown up. Would love to see more, so I hope this site stays up after the reunion. K.C. if you read this, I could pick you out of a crowd, you haven't changed a bit and it’s so nice to see you with your family and looking so happy. Bob Carroll, you have the same smirk on your face which I am sure is well deserved. Craig K..no comment.  I have so many memories, good, bad and definitely indifferent of being "inclined" it was a great place to grow up and that is the bottom line for all of us.

However, I do have some input on the streakers during the championship baseball game. As I remember it, two guys ran out of the woods, streaked across the field (past me) and back into the woods. At least one of the streakers, I can identify. Although they were only wearing ski masks, and no..not because of the body parts, although proud he was of them. I would have known that goofy laugh anywhere as I grew up listening to it. Wonder who it was? I do believe there is more to this story and I assume more will be revealed at the reunion. Have a great weekend all of you, I wish I could have been there.

I was working overseas for all the other get togethers and finally thought I could make this one.  Unfortunately, Mart Ann and I can't.  But to all the others there from the Class of 1973...please raise a toast to Mart Ann and I.

I have worked in the oil industry my entire career for Shell and Chevron and Baker Hughes.  I've lived in places like Angola and Zaire and Kazakhstan and Brazil.  10 countries and about 15 years of my career when I figure it.  Our children and those cultural experiences have been very special.  Mart Ann spent her career home schooling some of our children.  Both of us are looking forward to my formal retirement and going into business together on some different fronts.

We currently live in Claremore, OK (its only claim to fame is that it is Will Rogers hometown).  We love living here.  We live on a small fishing lake.  No...nothing like our Tahoe. But it keeps e near the water and the fish.

I think my sisters LInda and Tina may make it.  So if you see one of them, stop by and say hi!

I've seen postings from some of my classmates from '73 and other friends.  I'll try to send you notes.

One other note.  Mart Ann's sister SAlly (also 1973) is a retired career Air Force Staff Seargent;  married with two children.

Regards,

Lee and Mart Ann Rogers.

Class of 1975:  After graduating from IHS (2nd in my class next to my best friend Jeanne Cangemi (Biship-Parise) got to pat yourself on the back once in a while), I spent 6 weeks touring Europe with America's Youth in Concert (also with Jeanne).  I went on to graduate from the Conservatory of Music at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA.  I worked at several jobs, finally going to school for and settling on dental assisting.  I was dating a wonderful man at the time who worked for the CA Dept. of Forestry driving fire engines and fighting wildfires.  In 1985 he was involved in a car accident that left him a quadriplegic and my career, and life, changed in an instant to primary health caregiver to Paul Knott.  We've been together for 23 years sharing a life that has presented many unique and difficult challenges as you might imagine.  His disability has not stopped us from spending much time at Tahoe (my favorite place on earth), and at his family's cabin below Echo summit near Srtawberry on Hwy 50.  Jeanne and I have continued our wonderful and supportive friendship; and my brothers, Lee and Dick, and my sister Tina remain each other's close friends, cheeleaders and supporters!  My years at IHS (7th through 12th grades) and my teachers, classmates and friends will always be a bright spot in a life which has seen a fair share of hard times.  Thanks and happy memories to all of you!

Hi all
I am  sorry that I wont be able to make the bash
(first time in my life) but I finally got a job (second time in my life) and I have to be in houston that week with Ted Nugent to promote the ongoing slaughter of  innocent wildlife! Looking at the names of those lucky enough to attend makes me want to toss the electric guitar and rifle in the lake!
Please have a great time and know that I am there in spirit and mind. I think of growing up
(as the Grow brothers would say) INCLINED, and often thank the Great Spirit for having blessed me with such an unforgettable dream!
We are the lucky ones, I only regret not realizing it sooner. So have a drink and remember the times (they were all good),and say a prayer for our fallen comrades, Bob Ash, Doug Cook, Brent Muir and Ray Peters and know that I wish I was there.
I miss you all
Peace and all things Good

WOW, these computer things are really neat. I don't have one of these on my shopping cart. Thanks Butt-loads GRANT for the loan ( I promise to pay you back, no really). I have started my trek, and should arrive in early May, should also have enough cans for new shoes.  I'm sure I will remember all of the class of '74. I hope everybody can bring some old snapshots of class activities, that should be good for some laughs. I am issuing a challenge to all the other classes to see who was the GREATEST CLASS OF ALL... Let's go into the trophy vault and see who had the most trophies.    5 points for STATE CHAMPS, 4 points for RUNNER UP, 3 points for ZONE CHAMPS, 2 points for runner up, 1 point for LEAGUE CHAMPS. 10 points for NOBEL PRIZE WINNER.
Gotta start pushing my cart, feets don't fail me now...

Hi to all who might know me.  It's been a long long time since I was back in Incline.  Kind of jumped around the west coast with a short stay in Florida.  I'd love to hear from anyone who wants to get caught up.  I will try to get to the event, but this will be difficult for me to do.  I have lots of fond memories of those high school days and looking this website over has brought back some of them.

By the way it was Grant Robinson who streaked the field, not me.

Mark Corley- you Bastard!! you better make it there!  If for no other reason, than I can show you my new pocket knife, or as we with a vaguely latino heritage say "Mah-chet- ay"   so don't make any excuses, get your butt down here, laughs are guarrenteed......but please don't mention height to Larry Gingold, to make himself feel better (bigger?) he married a midget, or excuse me a "little person" so he's very sensitive about the subject-----

What a great sight.  Brian, hats off to you.  Who would have thought that we all would find some many uses for Mrs. Coppins typing class.  It is hard to believe that is has been 29 years since graduation.  I am looking forward to the shin-dig.  Ran into Royce at the g-ville Raleys last month and he let me know where the site was.  We truly saw the best of Incline.  Remember when you could "cut through the forest" to shorten your walk to just about anywhere in town.  Looking forward to seeing you all there!!

This is incredibly cool and I thank Brian and everyone else who was involved and/or tried to find me.  It was really fun to look through the postings and see what so many people are up to.  Would greatly love to attend but do not believe we will be able to do so.  I have so many questions. . . does Routsis still have hair?  Does Mark Diaz still carry a miniature pocket knife for protection?  Is Gingold still 4'3" tall?  Why couldn't I ever be Franki Porter's "boy-toy"? The list goes on and on.  Truly brings back fond memories of some great times and wonderful people.  You are the best Highlanders, I miss you all and especially those who aren't with us anymore.   I will try to make it and will put up some info on what has been happening the last 30 bloody years.

Class of 1970 Since I won't be attending the reunion (though my sis, Pauline, will), this is a little about me to reconnect with those who remember the first years of IHS. Yeah, I recognize the Woodstock motif in the IHS 40th celebration poster (and know where the name *Targe* came from, having been the editor-in-chief of that dignified tome for its first two years). I'm still a child of the sixties, living the good green life in Oregon and striving always to shrink my ecological footprint. As a writer, editor, teacher, folksinger-songwriter, gardener, garden designer, and yogi, my passion is restoring soul and earth. Tahoe ignited my love of nature, and I try to get down to the Sierra for a backpacking trip every summer. During our years together in Davis, my former partner Rick Palkovic and I chose to write a book instead of having children: *Cooking with Sunshine* came out a couple of years ago (www.cookingwithsunshine.com). My anthology *Sisters of the Earth: Women's Prose and Poetry about Nature* (1991) is in a second edition; a textbook I coedited, *Literature and the Environment* (1998), is used in college composition classes. Al Gore is my hero and I look forward to helping my fellow humans accelerate our learning curve as global warming bears down on us. The last member of my class of 1970 who I was in touch with was Leslee Mullard, now Percy, in the 1980s. She married Mark Percy, son of former Senator Charles Percy of Illinois. They had just had their first child, Taylor Lorraine, and Mark was working for the World Bank. Googling Leslee now I find that Mark and Leslee were major donors in 2004 to MercyCorps, an international humanitarian organization, and in 2006 to Enterprise Development International. I'd love to hear from anyone who knows Leslee's whereabouts and see postings here from other members of the class of 1970.

A big thanks for this very organized & user-friendly website—it’s a blast. I’ve been going up and down the stairs at least once a week to look at my class yearbooks, which live in my very cold attic. There’s always something new to see and learn on the site—Lonnie Parsons & Lori Shipstead, for example. Who knew? (Congrats on 20 years of marriage and two soon-to-be new alums!) And, whatever happened to Janet Difeo, and Kathy Brannan (I used that silverware you gave me for YEARS—thanks!), and the Birich brothers? (Home-Ec with Shaun Keeler & the twins was quite the learning experience! ...Hmmm, I wonder if that fateful class had any influence on me becoming a chef?) Jeez, so many mostly wonderful memories of good old Incline High. That said, it has been a real tug-o-war (should I stay or should I go?) since first I learned of this wild and crazy birthday bash. What a fun idea! Just when I realize I won’t be able to make the trip from Minneapolis, the paid attendees get posted…. So, hello to some folks I know will be there: Wade Martin (Hi, Wade!); Shaun Keeler; Tammy Battaglia; Shawn Benson; Lori & Jan Shipstead; Nina, Grant, Lisa & Brent (oh, yeah, and Carl…); Kimberley; and of course Mr. Stephens (dude!). Have big fun. I’ll be there in spirit, Laura Wade, class of ‘72

A truly crazy day! First, I get off the phone with Chas Blackwell this morning where I learned about this site and now to follow Jack Stevens' post (see I got the possessive correct Jack) learning he may be in attendance when I had heard years ago that he had gone to the "Happy Hunting Grounds."

The downside was Charlie informed me about JJ and Clark Bannister; both good guys....tragic. And I heard about Bob Ash last year; again, tragic.

I live in Fountain Hills, AZ (just east of Scottsdale over the McDowell Mountains) and have a ten-year-old daughter who amazes me everyday. My sister Linda is still in Reno, married, with a gorgeous and talented daughter attending UNR as a sophomore.

I hope I can make it in May (even though the '79 re-union almost killed me) but it appears that my business schedule is getting in the way so, to all my old pals, have a great time and hoist one for me. I'll be thinking about the days where wood/metal shop was a raging inferno (Steele's dunebuggy). You'll have a ton of stories but start with that one. Talk to Shaun Keeler about spark and Brandon Birisch about fuel........it was a sight to behold (pretty tame by today's standards but memorable nevertheless).

I'm afraid that "Galloping Senility" has overtaken me, and I can't remember anything--it's called "alca-seltzertimers" or something like that.  My caretakers here at "the home" have promised me that I can attend one or two of the events if I remember not to keep tearing off my Depends and throwing them in the middle of the dinning room table.
How do I get to Lake Ta-How-EE? Is there a bus that comes by the home here?
